Sperm donation forms an important aspect of treatment where couples are affected by severe male infertility, poor quality sperm with a high percentage of DNA fragmentation or for couples in a same sex relationship. Currently this requires a known sperm donor who will then have to be processed in terms of the clinical history and assessment and the quality of the sperms produced, before treatment is set up.
